Dear members and future members of TIAC,

The year 2026 is already well underway, and I am confident that we will once again achieve great accomplishments on many levels. None of this would be possible without the dedication and leadership of our Board of Directors, as well as the many volunteers serving on TIAC committees. I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to all of you.

Your collective commitment continues to move our association forward with determination, energy, and confidence. The strength of our individual expertise, brought together within one national organization, makes TIAC a powerful voice in advancing mechanical insulation across Canada.

Our Board of Directors and committees work closely together, aligned with our vision, mission, objectives, and core values: the pursuit of excellence, innovation and continuous learning, integrity and respect, as well as diversity, unity, and leadership. These values are at the heart of everything we do and guide our decisions for the benefit of our industry—our shared livelihood.

The theme of my term, “Excellence, Innovation, Unity: Transforming the Industry Together,” reflects these principles, and I am very proud of it.

In just a few weeks, we will gather for our 64th Annual Conference, held in the heart of beautiful Quebec, more specifically in Old Quebec City, at the Hilton Hotel, from August 19 to 22, under the leadership of my colleague Rémi Demers. Together with the events committee, he is working tirelessly to deliver an outstanding conference.

Here is a preview of what awaits you:

August 19

Reception and dinner hosted by our manufacturers and distributors. This opening evening is a great opportunity to reconnect—sometimes after a long time—and enjoy valuable networking.

August 20

A full and engaging day featuring a keynote presentation by Olympic 100 m champion Bruny Surin, followed by a presentation on the Quality Assurance Program. In the afternoon, participate in peer discussions through concurrent sessions, followed by our Annual General Meeting. The day will end on a festive note with a live performance by “La famille Painchaud,” along with the presentation of the Entrepreneur Excellence Award nominees.

August 21

A day dedicated to outdoor activities: an excursion to Île d’Orléans and Montmorency Falls Park, or a round of golf at Club de golf Alpin.

August 22

A focus on innovation, including a presentation on the impact of artificial intelligence on our work, followed by a roundtable discussion. The highlight of the conference will be the President’s Dinner and Dance, hosted by Charles Biddle Jr. and his musicians, bringing this exceptional 64th conference to a close.

TIAC conferences offer unique opportunities to connect with industry professionals while enjoying engaging activities and memorable social events.

I look forward to seeing many of you there—especially as this event takes place in my home province, which is particularly meaningful to me. ▪
