This year’s conference in Whitehorse, Yukon, proves there is nothing that the TIAC family can’t achieve. With a great turnout and plenty of excellent sessions, the event was an absolute success, bringing members and guest together from across the country for four days of exploring and camaraderie.

The technical and education sessions were the perfect blend of useful industry and technical information and topics relevant to the region. From the gold rush and modern-day mining to Yukon paleontology and risk management, the speakers delivered interesting, engaging content. Technical sessions covered how TIAC is responding to market pressures, supporting workforce development, and advocating for mechanical insulation’s role in a low-carbon economy; a NIA update from Jack Bittner, past president, and Kristin DiDomenico, vice-president and managing director for a NIA; optimizing thermal insulation systems, GHG emissions reduction, and the overall cost savings of both; and how passive fire protection impacts the mechanical insulation industry.

As always, social events and activities brought everyone together to make memories and connections. From fishing excursions, canoeing the Yukon River, and glass-blowing hand-made treasures to a McBride Museum visit and an off-site dinner at the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre, guests enjoyed their time in Yukon with full days and fuller hearts.

Of course, guests enjoyed a sneak peek of the 2026 conference planning for Quebec City, August 19-22. Mark your calendars and see you there! ▪
